The new Cajamar Headquarters in Almeria is an ambitious architectural project located in the Science and Technology Park of Almeria (PITA), designed to be a benchmark in sustainability and operational efficiency. This complex, developed by the MGM Arquitectos studio and built by the company Jarquil, consists of six buildings interconnected by a central hall of 700 square metres, offering a total surface area of 21,300 m² above ground and 35,000 m² below ground. The project, which began construction in 2020 and was completed in June 2024, has overcome a number of challenges, including delays due to the pandemic and material supply problems due to the war in Ukraine. Despite these difficulties, the use of advanced technologies and a collaborative BIM environment have enabled accurate and efficient execution. The site has Leed Platinum and Well certifications, which attest to its commitment to the environment and the well-being of its occupants. In addition, it offers a wide range of services for the 750 employees it will house, including a gymnasium, nursery, restaurant/cafeteria, auditorium with capacity for 450 people, and extensive green and sports areas. This project not only centralises Cajamar’s operations in a modern and sustainable environment, but also boosts the economic and technological development of the region, integrating harmoniously with the Almeria Science and Technology Park.
