Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

At ABN we have committed ourselves to the 10 principles of the United Nations Global Compact by signing and adhering to it, being active in the following sustainable development goals (SDGs).

SDG Wheel

Gender equality

Ending all forms of discrimination against women and girls is not only a basic human right, but it is also crucial to accelerate sustainable development.

Clean water and sanitation

In order to guarantee universal access to safe and affordable drinking water for all by 2030, it is necessary to make adequate investments in infrastructure, provide sanitary facilities and promote hygiene practices at all levels.

Decent job

The Sustainable Development Goals aim to stimulate sustainable economic growth by increasing productivity levels and technological innovation. Promoting policies that stimulate entrepreneurship and job creation is crucial for this purpose.

Industry and innovation.

Infrastructure investment and innovation are fundamental engines of economic growth and development. With more than half of the world’s population living in cities, mass transportation and renewable energy are becoming increasingly important, as well as the growth of new industries and information and communications technologies.

Inequality reduction

To curb this increase in disparities, it is necessary to adopt strong policies that empower the lower percentile of the income scale and promote the economic inclusion of everyone, regardless of gender, race or ethnicity.

Responsible production and consumption

The efficient management of shared natural resources and the way in which toxic waste and pollutants are eliminated are vital to achieve this objective. It is also important to urge industries, businesses and consumers to recycle and reduce waste, as well as supporting developing countries to move towards sustainable consumption patterns by 2030.
