CSR

Designing and manufacturing innovative systems that provide added value, guaranteeing a sustainable future.

Environmental policy

At ABN we understand where we want to go. With our activity, we aim to add value and move towards a circular economy. With honesty and integrity, we strive to ensure that innovation and creativity lead to environmental protection and a more sustainable world.
In line with our environmental commitments, the EcoVadis gold level medal measures our environmental performance in 4 areas: environment, labour practices and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. The Carbon Footprint Seal awarded by the Ministry for Ecological Transition also recognises our efforts in calculating, reducing and offsetting the greenhouse gas emissions generated by our activity.
In addition, since 2018 we have been a Signatory Partner of the United Nations Global Compact, demonstrating our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We are subscribed to the Pact for a Circular Economy, which aims to involve the main economic and social agents in Spain in the transition towards this new economic model; and to the Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) initiative, promoted by ANAIP, to achieve “Zero losses of pellets” and prevent them from ending up in the environment.

A second service-life for our products

Although PP piping systems are designed for a minimum service life of 50 years, it is always possible to re-circulate them in new processes due to downsizing, repairs, additional installations or end of life.

These plastic wastes can be removed as waste plastic from Type 5 in our container RETap-BoxThe aim of this environmental initiative is to give a second useful life to the offcuts of pipes and fittings generated as a result of installation work, revaluing waste and promoting a new useful life cycle. For more information about RETap-Box, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The removal of plastic waste can also be carried out by contacting any plastic waste manager who will indicate, if necessary, the most appropriate form of removal. All Autonomous Communities have links to waste managers in the region and, depending on the material, will be able to identify the most appropriate form of management.
